INFORMATION:

History : gradually flying increased and then Vickers Supermarine started test flying and assembling Spitfires. New hangars erected. The main parts of Spitfires were produced in Salisbury, assembled and test flown at High Post. In 1944 the airfield was extended as can be seen from the map.
