INFORMATION:
The accommodation site with many WW1 wooden & asbestos sheeted officers & sergeants mess's, many more permanent brick buildings with a cover of pebble dash wall covering.
History : Netheravon started life before 1913 for the Royal Flying Corps. In the summer of 1914 the whole of the Military Wing of the RFC, 700 personnel and 70 airplane assembled here for a training exercise. By the start of WW1 Netheravon was the centre for preparation's of squadrons to be assembled and sent out to France.
