INFORMATION:
The first picture is through the left hand door and below the embrasure is part of the wooden shelf. The ricochet wall can be seen on the right.
The second picture is very interesting, it has what I can only imagine is a magazine/store built into the rear wall/ricochet wall.
Being RAF the whole site is ringed with four pillboxes. These are of a design by the Air Ministry and three up on the airfield in a cluster.
The camp was used for small units to stay on exercise. That was in a couple of years ago, now Dec. 2005 it looks as if the army have abandoning the camp.
