INFORMATION:

The black road running from west to east is the A30 and at the crossroad's under the word Factory (on the map) you turn right at Spitfire Lane. There was an airfield here in WW1 to the right and the WW2 on the left. The assembly area is situated in the woods with flight testing on the airfield. There is a large factory on the A30 which could have been built for the manufacture of Spitfires and in woodland to the south of the road are remains of concrete and bricks lying around. To the east of the WW1 airfield is a Farm which could also have been used?
