INFORMATION:

Needs Oar Point Advanced Landing Ground one of the Hampshire Group of airfields. Several ALG's were built along the south coast to accommodate the many fighter units RAF and US, moving south to prepare for D-day. Also it gave the construction engineers the chance to train for the impending battles of D-Day and beyond.
