INFORMATION:
Control tower type 2548c/55 (1955) on the N/W side of the airfield completely opposite to the original which is
set in front of the hangars.
History : Stanton Harcourt becomes a satellite in 1940. Whitley's are replaced by Oxfords in 1941.

1944 & the two concrete runways are laid. 1946 Transport Command take over. York's, Dakotas & Hastings are used.
