INFORMATION:

Hidden in some new factory units is this temporary brick hut which could have been the instructors room (52).

History :
RAF Shellingford, Berkshire started life as a landing ground to relieve Watchfield, opened 1941 for
3 EFTS with some 56 Tiger Moths.

1943 glider pilots training took place here.

1946 the Dutch used Shellingford like the Norwegians used Winkleigh.

Closed 1948.
