INFORMATION:

Gavres is situated to the east of Lorient and is a peninsular starting at Plouhinec and finishing at Point de Gavres.

Although my remit to cover the Atlantikwall, airfields and defence's in the South of England, finding these old French fortifications attached or very near the Atlantikwall, I find it hard not to include them. I am sure the occupying forces would have used these fortifications as barracks, storage for ammunition and training.
