INFORMATION:

Battery Kerbonn 4/MAA 262 & Wn number Cr346 is situated on the Crozon Peninsular on the west coast of Brittany and covering the important port of Brest where large U-boat pens were constructed.
The guns covered the seaward and southern entrance to the port of Brest.
Naval (MAA) batteries were usually placed close to the waters edge to cover ports and other vulnerable points.
