Situated to the west of Dorchester on the Poundbury Road.
The best way to visit D-7 is to find the Keep Museum and just below the keep take the Poundbury Road through a business park which was an army camp for the British Army & taken over by the Americans in a big way later in the war. You then pass Poundbury Hill Fort on your right, an Iron Age Fort with an ROC underground post. Next crossing a valley there are the remains of a Roman aqueduct and the wood is on the left.

Above : the Keep.
