I have now visited the site three times. The first time just the hangar site. The second time, through the main camp and on to the battle HQ. Now I have walked all around the perimeter track. Most of the airfield is under crops. There is still a good road network and perimeter track. It was a grass airfield so it had no hard runways.
History : RAF Clyffe Pypard was used throughout the war for pilot training using DH Tiger Moths.
