I
have now visited the site three times. The first time just the hangar
site. The second time, through the main camp and on to the battle
HQ. Now I have walked all around the perimeter track. Most of the
airfield is under crops. There is still a good road network and
perimeter track. It was a grass airfield so it had no hard runways. History : RAF
Clyffe Pypard was used throughout the war for pilot training using DH
Tiger Moths.
