This does look a bit like an RAF wooden hut.

History : after Dieppe the RAF boys left and the Americans arrived with the 307th FS of the 31st FG, VIIIth Airforce flying Spitfire XII's on bomber escort duties.
The Americans left prior to D-day so that Merston could be upgraded and Sommerfeld Track runways laid down.

20 hardstands were built as well. Runways were extend and the accommodation increased to over 2000 all ranks.
