StP Kermorvan. StP Re104 to Re119.
Le Conquet, Western Brittany a small fishing port looking out into the wild Atlantik.
The large deep water port of Brest was big enough to receive battle ships like the Tirpitz. Also a U-boat pen was constructed inside the harbour. That meant that the whole area around the entrance to the Rade de Brest had to be defended. After the attack on the lock gate at St Nazaire the defence was again increased. Kermorvan was the start of the northern defence of the port of Brest.

StP Kermorvan. StP Re104 to Re119. The route we walked.
StP Kermorvan held several Wn's Re104 to Re115. There were and are many defence structures some hard to find, most blocked off by gates to stop entry but a an interesting walk around on a very blustery wet day. There is plenty of history here not just WW2.
