INFORMATION:

Salisbury situated where two rivers meet, the wylye and the Avon.

To the North is Old Sarum, an Iron Age Hill Fort, used by the Romans and later the Norman's built a Castle, a Town and a Cathedral. When the town grew too large for the site it was moved down into the valley.
