INFORMATION:
A hospital with 1248 beds an overload
in tents increased it to 1462. There were over 60 doctors, 100 nurses,
500 support staff, 90 wooden huts and tents when needed.
It
was ready to accept casualties from the spring of 1944 and closed
in 1947.
Other
uses were as a POW camp, homes for displaced persons and as a British
army camp.
