INFORMATION:

The hospital was on both sides of the road and going back as far as you can see.

In the Dorset area there was several hospitals. Blandford Camp had the 22nd General Hospital and it treated 20,000 casualties. Another was at Sherborne, Haydon Park where the 228th US Army hospital. Most were built for D-day and the continuing European war.
