INFORMATION:

History: on the evening of the 5th June 1944 started with the Pathfinders from the 438th Group from RAF Greenham Common, next were the 436th - Membury, followed by the 439th - Upottery, 435th - Welford, 441st - Merryfield and the 440th from Exeter. They were transporting the 101st Airborne to Normandy.
