INFORMATION: Water would have been pumped up to a large Braithwaite water tower and then sent out via pipe lines to the huts needed water. Or a small bore hole may be used for water at one or two sites, like this. Water here was pumped up to a tank in the brick tower at the end of the building to allow a head of pressure, the tower also doubled as a chimney for the heating plant.
