INFORMATION:

A view of the surroundings around the radar. Behind this site and about one & a half kilometers was the battery Pernelle, Normandy II. The battery of three modern 170mm guns were in open field emplacements. They were mobile guns and could fire 360deg.
There was some damage by bombing but still they managed to fire on Utah beach, inaccurately because they had no range finding equipment.
