Part of the perimeter track on the north side looking west. Behind me were the Rotor buildings and first of three fighter pens and in front are the sites of three Blister hangers and three more fighter pens.

Fighter airfields built up to 1942 often had four sets of three, double pens either SE's (single engined) or TE's (twin engined).
