INFORMATION:

Poole harbour a wildlife haven, a ferry port to France, but in WW2 it was a bombing decoy for the Royal Naval Cordite Factory Holton Heath and by 1944 the harbour was full of landing craft readying themselves for D-day.

At a small farm at Middlebere the government built a small air-raid shelter for the occupants of the farm.
