INFORMATION:

Battery St Marcouf, Crisbecq.
Situated inland north of Utah Beach and sign posted on the north/south D 421 or D 14.
The Todt organization started to build the battery as a five gun open emplacement type in 1941.
By 1944 there were :
2 x 15.5cm guns.
3 x 21.0cm Skoda Guns.
6 x7.5cm AA guns and several smaller automatic weapons.
