The first building you see on the airfield itself is this picket post. The track leads onto the airfield.

History : change again in August 1940 when A Flight 87 Sqn RAF arrived from RAF Exeter with Hurricane's. They were replaced by the middle of August with 92 Sqn Spitfires. This moving of fighter units in and out continued for some time.
