INFORMATION:

Entrance onto the airfield site where three hangars remain. What looks like a new Barn but really is a 14bay T1 hangar 9659/40 re-clad and a Blister hangar to the right again re clad.

History : 1942/3 two Sommerfeld tracking
runways were laid out. Five over Blister hangars , (12532/41) three of them by the road. A T1 was built of a 14 bay type (9659/42). Many Laing huts and temporary brick huts.
