INFORMATION:

Since the demise of the airfield a lot of building has taken place. New houses swamp the original camp and it is hard to understand its layout.

History : opened in 1917 after a Lieut Dorman flying a Bristol F2b force landed in a field at Tangmere and later it was decided it was a good place for an airfield.
