INFORMATION:

This part of the sea wall is being held back by PSP Planking.

The path runs all the way around the edge of Thorney Island and makes a very interesting walk.

History : built during 1936/7 and a huge
grass airfield was prepared with a brick built campsite and its six ‘C’ type concrete hangars located on the western side.
Opened 1938 No.16 Group of Coastal Command.
