I have the official plan of Dunkeswell and it shows this area as the WAAF's communal site No4.

History : May 1945 all US personnel left and it was handed back to the RAF and it was used by 46 Group Transport Command. Also No.3 Overseas Aircraft Preparation Unit. In March 1946 it went into Care and Maintenance. The airfield was disposed by the RAF in 1949 and has been used for light aircraft, parachuting, go-cart racing and factories.
