Wn06 Sallenelles is a small position on the east side of the river when the British airborne landed all around the area it held out for quite a long time until the Commandos started to clear the east shore and take all the defences along this coast. Most of the survivors penned up at Sallenelles gradually retreated and worked their way back to cross the Seine.

A piece of high ground on the river bank with its H634 six embrasured turret with a periscope could see all around the area as it would have been clear of trees and the 5cm KwK gun in its Vf65a could cover against tanks and any shipping on the river.

The Bunker is/was a disco and sits in the river bank. Possibly the original route of the road passed by the bunkers, now the new road by passes them by.
