This position seems to be an accommodation set of two R622 twin group bunkers holding around 30men each. The 1948 air photo shows that a lot of clearing up after the war has started. Trenches filled in, bunkers starting to have houses built around them. Also in the photo shows some circles that may have been two or three anti-aircraft guns.

2 x R622 twin group bunkers.
The 1948 air photo of this part of Trouville. As far as we know there are two R622 twin group bunkers and quite far apart.

Google earth photo with an overlay of a plan of an R622 bunker. The only parts to be found today are part of the Tobruk and a piece of the back wall. There is also a circular piece of concrete which may be a radio aerial coming out of a bunker, but we see no bunker there.

The 1948 air photo showing the R622 (1), what looks like a lot of digging below it and trenches radiating around the area. X is where the round object is and there are also what also looks like two more bunkers. In the field seems to show three large circular objects and a V shaped item.

This is an extension that holds a Tobruk defence which can have a machine gun on a turning mounting

This is a plan of an R622 with the Tobruk on the right side, here the Tobruk is on the left side. Two entrances coming into a gas lock and then two doors into the two crew rooms which could hold around 15men. So 30men per bunker on folding wire mesh beds, a heater on each side and a hand powered anti-gas Hes pump, to suck in filtered air from outside, slightly pressurise the bunker to keep out gas.

This is the second R622 (2) situated just along the road to the west. It may be part of Trou027?
