Wn Marg05, Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer
South of Dieppe there are some very high cliffs, but at several places the cliffs received and there are short lengths of open beach where a landing could take place. Wn Marg05 is just one of them. Immediately defended after the French defeat and then the defence was gradually increasing through the summer of 1944 when several bunkers and a casemate were built.

A reconnaissance was carried out to take some of the worst photos of France ever. Well a small unit was sent to photograph the full length of the Channel coast. This is all we have of Saint-Aubin. It shows the cliffs looking west.

There was originally a Geschützstellung or open emplacement for the 7.5cm F.K.234(b) a captured Belgian artillery piece. Then when the casemating of artillery close to beaches came in, an R612 was built to house the gun.
