Va06 Batterie Ectot
1./Heeres Kusten Artillerie Abteilung 1253.
Quite a large batterie position, seven large
Geschützstellung for 15.5cm K420(f). guns. Also one smaller Geschützstellung for a 15.5cm s.F.H.414(f) to fire star shells over the target area to light it up.
There was also four earlier Geschützstellung for a batterie of smaller guns. By 1944 they had been removed.
All guns were captured French artillery with plenty of ammunition. Most of these guns were to be used to cover the Maginot line in the north east of France.
15.5cm K420(f).
15.5cm s.F.H.414(f).
There was also about three Flak guns 2cm.

R679 casemate
Possibly the only remaining bunker that can be seen.
The order came out to casemate all Artillerie, so four large R679 casemates were to be added, making it a four gun batterie.
