Fe09 Côte de la Vierge
Fécamp east of Le Havre, another cleft in the cliff which was cut through by the river Valmont and later a port was created to accommodate a large fishing fleet.
Very few defences can be seen in one easy view. Well here one is. By standing back, the whole defence runs up the cliff edge.

Fe09 Côte de la Vierge
Fécamp is a small fishing port and around WW2 it handled medium cargo boats. At the time of the proposed invasion of England, the port was to be used as an embarkation point. Later minesweeper and S boats used the port and it was defended by layers of defence Wn's. Fe09 covers the steep cliff side running down to the port.

The range on machine guns that could have been used here were quite large. From MG09 WW1 water cooled type, to French ex Maginot line guns. To the latest Mg36 and Mg42's.

As we parked to look at the Skoda bunker this concrete guard post has been placed here, probably it was used around the docks area? A guard post that a guard could use in a bombing raid and protect him.
