RAF Tarrant Rushton 65
RAF Tarrant Rushton celebrated the 65th anniversary of D-day on Thursday 4th June 2009. Guests, children from local schools and many interested parties turned up. There was a moving service, a fly pass from the BBMF with a Spitfire and a Hurricane. Then a Dakota turned up and did a spectacular low level display. And to cap it off, a Blue Spitfire came into view and then gave another stunning display, only a Spitfire can do. Then runners started off to a tumultuous chorus of 'HAM & JAM' from the school children who high five'd every runner off on their journey to Pegasus bridge.
