Va05, 06 & 07 are the three main outer defences of Va300. They were army (Heer) and the Batterie was Marine (Navy).
Va06 Le Méné Begot
Plan of Va06 showing the casemate covering the road and railway. A Tobruk with a mortar by the railway, several Vf2a´s scattered around and a cable bunker (Kabelbrunnen). Behind the casemate somewhere was a mortar (5cm) in a Tobruk. An FT tank turret in another Tobruk and a second mortar covering the railway line and road. To the western side there was a 5cm KwK in a Ringstand and Vf2a crew bunker. When the allies arrived in Brittany, the road was deliberately damaged to stop access to Quberon. The area only capitulated in April 1944.
