A small extra defence probably added to cover a blind spot in the defence.

Allied Map
Operation 'Undergo' was the Canadian attack to take the area around Calais, part of the capture of all the channel ports. All fell except Dunkirk, which held out to the end of the war.

Vf2a
Vf2a shelter for the crew of the gun and probably a few more for the defence of the guns area. The defence group may live in the defence or come and go as needed, but the crew of the gun which was at least five, would have lived very local to the gun.
Vf20 bunker for up to 15men. A tight fit with that many.
Crew.

Covered trench
I think this is a covered trench between the Vf2a and the casemate and may have held extra ammunition.

R612 casemate
The rear of the casemate now covered in sand but once held a handy quick firing 7.5 Field Kannon that could have used solid shot (armoured piercing), shrapnel or high explosive rounds. They could rip through the side plates of a landing craft or a Sherman tank.

R612 casemate
The embrasure with a nice flanking wall to seaward. These walls did cover the embrasure from fire from the sea and it was found on D-Day that very few casemates like these took any damage from the initial bombardment and also this casemate as we have seen came under sustained bombing from the RAF and the USAAF heavy aircarft.
