Monument à la Patrouille de Douvres (Dover Patrol).
This monument honours the sacrifice of French and British soldiers who defended the Straits of Pas-de-Calais during the First World War. Strait of Pas-de-Calais was then a highly strategic location in which transited the Allied supply lines. Monitoring and protection of the Straits was the case of the Dover Patrol . .

The view along the cliff, there are many gun batteries and coastal fortifications along this sea front and hinterland and is worth a bit of time checking them out. I unfortunately did not have that much time on this visit!
