Railway batterie E 765 sitting in a valley lined up directly with Dover. These railway guns were brought here to seal off the channel to allow German forces to land on England in Operation Seelöw 1940/41. Two turntables were built with two large ammunition bunkers. Many defence and small bunkers littered around the area and its own Flak Gruppe of four 2cm Flak and three 5cm KwK Pak guns.

Vf Ammunition 2
This is the is the opposite entrance to the railway dock for ammunition trains to unload.
The view down the centre with ammunition rooms off either side, an overhead rail would carry the ammunition out of the rooms and to a trolley to be taken to the gun.
When captured the engineers would fill the bunkers with all the ammunition lying around and blow the lot up. That is why there is so much internal damage.
